Havells HFFR’s (Halogen-free Flame Retardant) insulation is developed to provide better safety in case of fire and increase conductivity in flexible cable range. Special Polymer is used to develop HFFR insulation which increases the heat bearing capacity of the wires. Life Shield HFFR wires can withstand temperature up to 280 °C which is much higher than a PVC insulation which melts at 85 °C. HFFR (Halogen-free Flame Retardant) wires are practically halogen-free and are 10 times superior to FR-LSH wires as in case of fire, hazardous gases emission is less than 0.5% in case of HFFR wires. This ensures that people trapped in fire can breathe easily, which facilitates rescue.
