Ultracab cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated cable, have PVC sheathing on both inner and outer side and are suitable for working voltages up to and including 1100 Volts. These are Unarmoured single core cables and suitable for electric supply and power purposes. Conductors are made from electrolytic grade aluminium conforming to IS: 8130. Special ST2 Grade PVC is used in outer sheath of PVC Cable. These Cables have higher short circuit current rating, higher emergency overload capacity, tensile strength of 1.9 Kg/mm2, elongation (%) is 300-500%. The moisture resistance of XLPE cables in nearly 100 times better than of PVC insulated cables.
